Bio
Courtney is Métis and a member of the Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement. With extensive experience as a successful business owner, she brings a strong background in finance, management, and administration, ensuring operational efficiency and organizational support.
She serves as an assistant to Partner Garry Laboucan, contributing to the representation of five Treaty 6 & 8 First Nations in their Agricultural Benefits Claim Settlement— landmark cases that were negotiated to value approximately $2 Billion for our clients. She continues to provide valuable support in the areas of Treaty Rights, Aboriginal law, and Family Law. Currently, Courtney is pursuing her CORES I, II, and III certifications, allowing her to offer cost-effective corporate registry services to clients.
Beyond her professional expertise, Courtney is deeply committed to Indigenous sports, health, and wellness. A lifelong athlete, she has competed in high-level hockey and fastball and served as part of the coaching staff for the Alberta National Aboriginal Hockey Team. She remains passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles, particularly within Indigenous communities.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys traveling, playing sports, spending quality time with her family, and operating a small business specializing in natural body and healing products.
